THE MISSING ARTEFACT {PART-3}

                                     PART-3

                                DETECTIVE ISHA AND ADAMYA

Written By: Anusha Chauhan

"What is your purpose of the visit?" Adamya was questioning Kumar. He was writing everything down in her pocket diary.

"I have few business meetings in this city," says Kumar. "I am also a Jeweller in a city nearby. My wife, Vidya is at my home only. She didn't come with me because she is down with the flu."

He was cracking his fingers while giving answers which both Isha and Adamya noticed. Something was cooking in his head. He seems to be afraid.

They came back to their office, that also is where Isha lives.

She threw her shoes and bag right on the sofa. Fed her cat. Went straight to the kitchen and started making tea.

"I'll also have one. The thief is so smart. Gosh! I am tired. Do you have some biscuits?" Adamya shouted from the door while removing his shoes.

Isha was humming a tune of a song. She lit her cigarette after putting tea on the gas stove. Tea leaves were boiling in the water and Isha was lost in watching it boil while taking cigarette puffs very deeply. Now she has stopped humming. She was trying to figure out what was it that she felt odd with the family members?

"Oh God Isha, why do you smoke?" angry Adamya snatched the cigarette from her hand and tossed it to the dustbin.

"Oh no!" he sighed as he looked at the mess of the kitchen. A devilish smile on Isha's lips.

The tea has been boiling for fifteen minutes. It will take another fifteen minutes to be up to their mark.

In the meanwhile, they have decided to keep an eye on Kumar. "He clearly is hiding something," says Adamya. When he didn't get any reply, he looked at Isha.

"She is a lean girl, nobody would say she is a private detective. But she has a very sharp mind. She lives alone as she can't keep up with her family. Her Emotional Quotient is almost zero. Her family failed to understand her and vice versa. She is messy and disorganized. Ahh! Look at her desk. Gosh! She always talks to herself or her cat about her cases in order to solve it. She is notorious, sometimes she gets cases which satisfy her mischievous soul. She really should quit smoking. I hate it when she smokes. Everything else is just fine. My wife is a big fan of her. Whenever they meet, she tells her a lot of stories and hidden truths about the famous people around the town. I guess this is what girls likes, gossip! She always is so busy, she even doesn't has time to go out and have fun, make friends or maybe she doesn't want it. She only wants to be in her own comfort zone."
