PART-5
DETECTIVE ISHA AND ADAMYA
Written By- Anusha Chauhan
"Once I took her help to extract more money than needed from my father, for one of my ventures. She faked as the dealer but she made video and call recordings at that time that I did not have the slightest idea of. Now she has been blackmailing me from pas six months," Kumar confesses.
"So you stole Seth Ji's dagger in order to pay her?" asks Adamya.
"No," says Isha.
Confused Adamya looked at her, "Of course, you already know who took it."
She smiled and said to Kumar, "You should clear your mess up. You may go now."
Next day, both of them went to Seth Ji's house.
All the family members were present in the museum room of Seth Ji's house, near a big table. Seth Ji, Isha and Adamya were standing at one side of the table and rest of the family members were standing at the other side.
Without saying anything and looking at each of the family member's eyes, Isha took out the dagger from her bag and put it on the table.
Everyone was happy. Seth Ji quickly took his missing dagger in his hands and put it into its designated box and locked it very carefully.
"Who is the thief?" asks Sethani Ji.
"Your daughter-in-law, Smita," Isha declared.
Right when Smita tried to leave the room, Adamya stopped her.
"She stole it and hid it in her room that day. Then at night, she hid it into the fountain until the case cools down. After that, she would dig it out from there and she had plans to do after that. Am I right or am I right Smita?" Isha says piercing Smita through her eyes.
"I...I...I..." Smita started stuttering.
Everybody was shocked. Hearing this, SethJi staggered a bit and sat on the chair nearby. SethaniJi made him drink some water.
Isha continued, "The day it was stolen, Smita had black paint on her hands. The same black paint with the name and other description written on the box of the dagger. Then she hid it into the fountain just to be sure not to get caught in case of a room search. I asked your cook, Raman, to keep an eye on her. He has recorded a video of her digging the fountain and hiding the dagger there. She then called someone and gave all the details of the part of the plan that she successfully executed. Adamya and I, came back last night and took the dagger out from the fountain with the help of Raman."
Smita was sweating and shaking with fear when caught. Her husband, Jayant, was shocked. He could not believe what he was hearing. He was just staring Smita with questioning eyes. His eyes were moist. He looked at his father and then Isha and then asked Smita, "Is this true Simi?"
Smita remained silent.
"Who did you call? Who else is involved with you?" asked Jayant with pain and anger in his voice.
"Her mother," says Isha.
All shocked.
"Because you refused to make that deal so my mother had planned this to give you pain," Smita's voice was shaking with guilt, "I didn't want to do all this but..."
"But...but...but...? Papa, just call the cops and send her behind the bars," angry Jayant said and left the room.
Smita started crying.
"No. She has made a big mistake but she was forced by her parents. You should give her a second chance. Else you wish," says Adamya.
"You truly are an emotional and pure soul," Isha murmured.
"How did you know it was her mother whom she called?" Adamya asked Isha stepping out of SethJi's house after collecting payment for solving the case.
"I did not. I guessed," Isha said playfully.
"Of course," Adamya smiled.
