THEFT OF AN OLD WATCH

Yara and Bunty are cousins. They live in a joint family. They are in the same school and same class, Standard-4th.
Both the kids just love spy and superhuman stories. They have read every spy storybook and comic book possible.
They are very curious by nature and their qualities perfectly complement each other's in spying over something or search something in or around the house. These are their small adventures.
Today, when they came back from the school discussing what will happen next in the comic series. Yara noticed something is missing from her almirah.
"My watch!!" she screamed in pure shock. She came running out of her room which was her parents' room also. She ran to her mother in the kitchen, screaming "My watch...my watch...maa...".
Her mother is quietly making round chapatis for kids and smiling silently. There is something that she knows about that watch.
"Maa, where is my watch? It was there in my almirah in the morning. I saw it. Who stole it? Did any stranger came into the house today?" She has so many questions.
"Uff...Yara stops screaming. Just have your food, it will be in the house somewhere. I will find it. Don't overreact. Here take your thaali and go and eat it properly." saying this, Yara's mother gave her the plate.
"Where is my watch? Why maa is so cool about it? She is not someone who will let go such big theft. What is going on here?" Yara is eating food in her room and thinking continuously.
She told all this to Bunty. Now they both are thinking. Suddenly, they hear someone talking outside.
They are trying to listen to who is it. The voice isn't audible. Now they are coming out of the room very silently to find out who it is. They want to catch the thief.
"Thank you very much, madam. You can not imagine what it means for my daughter. She will be very happy to see this. Thank you, madam." saying this Sharda left for her home. Smiling.
Yara and Bunty looked at each other. They were shocked.
"Tai Ji just gave your watch to Sharda aunty. Did you see that?" Bunty says whispering in Yara's ear.
Yara nodded "Yes", suspiciously.
They are now coming back to their room. "I know that I don't wear that watch, it was sitting in the almirah for many months, it is even not working but it is my watch. Why did maa gave it to Sharda aunty?" says Yara.
"Let me go and find it out for you," says Bunty.
Bunty is sneaking off to his room, where his mother and Taiji are chatting.
"Didi you did just the right thing that you got that watch fixed and gave it to Sharda. It's her daughter's exam and she needs it very much. Yara didn't wear it anyways." says Bunty's mother.
Then both mothers laugh.
Bunty stood there with his ear open. Listening everything with full concentration. He even was holding his breath with a lot of effort.
"I know but now Yara will get sad. Did you saw her screaming a little while ago?" says Taiji.
"Yeah, you will have to handle her. Have you told her about this yet?" asks Bunty's mother.
"Naah. Her father was saying we will give her surprise tomorrow on her birthday." says Taiji, "Let's just keep it a secret till tomorrow. We are planning to gift her a more useful item for her than the watch. She will love it."
They laugh again.
Listening this was enough for Bunty. He ran to Yara and told her everything in one breath.
"Really!!" Yara's eyes are sparkling with joy.
Now both the kids are dancing and jumping with the joy of solving the mystery and for the birthday surprise.
Next day, it's Yara's birthday. In the evening, after cutting the cake, her mother gave her a beautiful box covered with pink sparkle paper.
"Open it." says her mother, smiling.
Yara and Bunty were opening it with full curiosity and eagerness. They were guessing it from the moment Bunty had heard the conversation of their mothers.
"What is it? What is it?" saying excitingly, both finally opened the box.
"Wow!" they both yelled in excitement, "Pitara Comics!!"
"1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9..10... A complete ten!!"
"Yayyy" all the kids started dancing.
Yara's mother was relieved that her daughter loved the gift.
