And a river of tears rolled down the cheeks of Arushi, as she read the very last line of her scrapbook.

It was the last semester of B.P.Ed (Bachelor of Physical Education). Sarita Devi was studying in a State University, far from her home, living in University Hostel for Girls. There were two Girl's hostels. The name of her hostel was Antara, also known as Hostel-1. The other hostel was Vrinda, Hostel-2.

Students of B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed (Master of Physical Education) were the residents of Hostel-1, along with other degree courses' residents. She was a mess member in the last two months of the semester. There were four other mess members. All were her classmates and friends, persuing the same diploma course. Me, Arushi, was the mess manager. This is how Sarita came in contact with me.

Back then it was a big deal to be in the mess management. Everybody knows you. Respects you. You know the insights. You have a chance to resolve residents problems. Even hostel wardens and attendants know you by your name and face. You get a trophy and a certificate at the annual day of the hostel.

I was a student of MBA first year. It was one of the best months of food quality and new dishes. Everyone in the hostel was happy with the behaviour of mess workers and members. Sarita used to greet me as Didi.

Sarita was from a small village of Uttar Pradesh. She came to the hostel after 12th, so she was a very young age. Almost all of the girls of B.P.Ed were so naive and immature. It was a co-ed university. So, almost all of the girls were in love or had a crush with their classmates or seniors. It is the age of infatuation.

But it was something different with Sarita. She and Rajat were connected through the heart. She never mentioned me any of this before.

But today was the last exam of Sarita. So, Arushi gave her scrapbook to Sarita to fill it. She wrote all of her love story, her feelings, emotions and state of her mind and heart in the scrapbook. She poured her heart out in front of Arushi.

"Didi, you are wonderful. I like you very much. I felt good when I first met you. You are always smiling. I like the dimples on your cheeks you get when you smile.
Didi, we(mess members) worked with you in the mess as mess members. We loved and enjoyed the duty of tea and snacks every morning and evening.
Didi, for two years I've wanted to be a mess member. I couldn't be able to be the one in the first year, maybe destiny wanted to let us meet. That's why I became a mess member at the last time of the semester with you as our mess manager."
